Lesson Sequence Week of July 22, 1996
Week Objective: This week we continue training to add quickness.
Remind the students that to get quicker, they must sprint at other
times – class time alone will not do it.
Every day run – 10 yead run, then 5 yard run, then 3 step run. You
can use contests but make sure slow students are not disgraced – team
contests are best – with changing groups. Concentrate on good
posture, body manuevering (hands up – one peice movement).
By mid week, work on quick stretches front and side – use bars as
appropriate.
Watch that the students knees are not too bent and stand on balls of
feet.
Select from the days activities for each class.

* all kicks to pads then kick to pads down the floor with oppoonent
* back hook kick
* switch and peechugee
* offense-defense emphasize speed and counters
* kick down floor
*alternate foot kicking straight then peechugee to side
*jump back kick
*move straight back and kick
* light sparrign without protection
*start speed stretch -front and side – use bars
*alternate foot kicking front and peechuge
* kick to pads
*side kick peechuge-try and kick before the first foot hits
* pattern attacks in offense-defense
* speed stretch
* kick and punch combinatns
* doube kick combiantns to pads
* back hook kick
* step then kick-forward and back
* light sparring with protection
* speed stretch
*alternate foot kick – front and peechuge
* jump back kicks
* double kicks down floor then to pads
* patterns
