Lesson Sequence Week of May 6, 1996
Week Objective: This week the emphasis is on building confidence for
sparring. As usual, the students are to work on attacking the mid
section and getting points.
To build confidence, have matches one verses two and one verses three.
Sparring – watch as one pair of students spars or one group of 1
verses 2.
For variety, add checks and counters. Direct them on the offense –
defense – tell them combinations to practice – tell them what counters
to work on.
Warm ups – traditional, run, jumping jacks, extra stretches, stretch
on walls, etc.
